🌈 Saying Goodbye with Love

Some moments are hard. Others are holy.
This is both.

At Wink & Wag, I offer gentle, respectful end-of-life pet photography sessions to help you celebrate the beautiful bond you’ve shared and to preserve the quiet, meaningful moments near the end of your pet’s journey.

Whether your pet is aging, in palliative care, or you’re preparing to say goodbye, these sessions are designed with deep care, patience, and love. There’s no rush, no posing pressure, and absolutely no expectation beyond being present with your pet exactly as they are.

Please visit the FAQ page for everything related to end-of-life sessions.

Each image in this gallery was shared with permission, and each pet was deeply loved. These photos are a tribute to their lives and the families who gave them so much joy.

🌿You’re Not Alone

Grieving a beloved pet is real, valid, and deeply personal. If you’re navigating this time, please know you’re not alone. I’m here not just as a photographer, but as someone who understands how hard it is to say goodbye.

Savannah

2/4/25

Savannah was a thirteen-year-old bottle baby puppy turned lifelong firecracker. Though cancer had quietly taken hold in both of her lungs, her spirit hadn’t dimmed. Her human reached out to me through The Tilly Project, uncertain how many days they had left together, but certain they wanted to hold on to every moment.
When I met her, Savannah greeted me with the sass and sparkle of a dog half her age. A spunky little yapper with only seven teeth to her name, not that it stopped her from devouring four chicken minis the day before our session. She was joy wrapped in fur, and defiance wrapped in love. A reminder that even when time grows thin, some hearts stay loud.
Savannah passed 3 weeks after our session.

Junior

3/16/25

Junior is the kind of golden retriever who doesn’t need to ask for attention; his presence draws it in effortlessly. Gentle, soulful, and endlessly patient, he carries the quiet wisdom that only comes with time. Though he’s now facing cancer, his focus remains steady: being near his people, watching over his home, and letting the sunlight warm his fur a little longer.
He shares his days with a younger brother: a bouncy, curly-haired doodle with the energy of a small hurricane. Their bond is a beautiful contrast: wild next to wise, chaos beside calm. Junior doesn’t try to keep up; he just smiles in his own way, soaking in the love from his devoted mom and dad.

Theo

5/30/25

Theo is small in size but larger than life: a 15-year-old chihuahua with a human soul and a heart that’s been beating beside his mama’s since she was just eight years old. Over the years, he’s become more than a pet: he’s a piece of her growing up, a quiet witness to every chapter, and a companion through all of life’s messes and milestones.
His senior years involved living with a neurological condition that caused him to twitch. Theo met each day with quirky charm including his signature move: sitting upright like a tiny old man who’s seen it all. The day of our session, his mama threw him a celebration of life party, surrounded by the family and friends who’ve loved him almost as long as she has. There was joy, there were tears, and there was Theo: dignified, adored, and held in the kind of love that only grows stronger with time.
