North Georgia Locations

North Georgia? Seriously?
YES!
I may live in Marietta but I once graduated from Towns County High School in Hiawassee. My mom is still a proud Hiawassee resident, so any North Georgia sessions give me a good excuse to visit with her (maybe slightly annoy her, too).
As a reminder, I only service very specific North Georgia towns and only on Saturdays. The towns I service are Woodstock, Cumming, Canton, Jasper, Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Blairsville, and Hiawassee.
The following locations for North Georgia are merely suggestions. While ideally sessions take place at your place of residence, I am completely fine with going to a location of your choosing since I am not a local to these towns. Please note that I’m less familiar with locations outside of Cobb, so many of the spots I’ve listed here are based on research and recommendations rather than entirely firsthand experience.

🐾 Olde Rope Mill Park – Woodstock, GA

Address: 690 Olde Rope Mill Park Rd, Woodstock, GA 30188

Olde Rope Mill Park is a hidden gem in Woodstock, offering a perfect mix of nature and structure. The peaceful riverwalk, wooded trails, and wooden footbridges create lovely backdrops for everything from joyful action shots to calm portraits. There are open grassy areas for fetch-loving dogs, and the consistent shade makes it ideal for senior pets who need a cooler, quieter setting.

🐾 Sawnee Mountain Preserve – Cumming, GA

Address: 4075 Spot Rd, Cumming, GA 30040

If you’re looking for a slightly more adventurous vibe, Sawnee Mountain Preserve delivers. With wide gravel paths, quiet wooded nooks, and panoramic mountain overlooks, it’s perfect for nature-loving pups and legacy portraits. The Indian Seats trail is especially stunning at golden hour, but there are also lower-elevation trails great for senior pets who need something flatter.

🐾 Etowah River Park – Canton, GA

Address: 600 Brown Industrial Pkwy, Canton, GA 30114

Etowah River Park is a beautifully maintained spot with lots of visual variety—riverside boardwalks, open green fields, and a scenic pedestrian bridge perfect for framing you and your pup. There are also quiet, less-trafficked areas that allow for slower-paced, emotion-rich sessions, ideal for end-of-life photography.

🐾 Lee Newton Park – Jasper, GA

Address: 599 Stegall Dr, Jasper, GA 30143

Lee Newton Park offers a serene, small-town atmosphere that translates beautifully in photos. The park’s charming covered bridge, gentle walking trails, and duck pond give a peaceful, storybook quality to your session. It’s easy to navigate, making it a comfortable and accessible option for pets of all ages.

🐾 Harrison Park – Ellijay, GA

Address: McCutchen St, Ellijay, GA 30540

Just a short walk from downtown, Harrison Park has a rustic, tucked-away feel perfect for candid portraits. With its open grassy spaces, tree-lined trails, and a creek that winds through the park, it feels natural without being remote. Bonus: the park stays quiet on weekdays, giving you space to slow down and soak in the moment with your pet.

🐾 Morganton Point Recreation Area (Lake Blue Ridge) – Blue Ridge, GA

Address: 475 Lake Dr, Morganton, GA 30560

This lakeside haven gives you stunning water reflections, rocky shorelines, and mountain peaks in the distance—basically a postcard waiting to happen. It’s ideal for pets who enjoy water or want to splash around a bit, but also has plenty of gentle trails and shaded pockets for cozy, focused shots.

🐾 Bell Mountain – Hiawassee

Address: 220 Shake Rag Rd, Hiawassee, GA 30546

Bell Mountain has breathtaking views at the top (literally!). If your dog is okay with stairs and a little wind, this spot gives you dramatic mountaintop portraits like no other. Best for adventurous pets and epic, storybook sessions. Parking here is a breeze but be prepared for a tight and steep drive up!

🐾 Hamilton Gardens at Lake Chatuge – Hiawassee

Address: 96 Pavilion Rd, Hiawassee, GA, US, 30546

Located near the fairgrounds, this is a hidden gem in Hiawassee that’s perfect for peaceful, pet-friendly photography sessions. With winding paths through vibrant blooms, quiet benches under flowering trees, and stunning lake views peeking through the greenery, it’s a dream backdrop—especially for senior pets and end-of-life portraits. The soft, natural beauty of the gardens creates a serene, almost storybook setting where your pet’s personality can shine. Leashed dogs are welcome, and the calm atmosphere makes it ideal for sensitive or mobility-limited pets. This location is at its most magical during early mornings or golden hour when the light dances through the flowers.

💡Don’t see your city?

The only Northern Georgia towns I service are Woodstock, Cumming, Canton, Jasper, Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Blairsville, and Hiawassee on Saturdays.

💡 Quick Tips

  • Leashes are required at all times. I can edit out leashes for the most part, so don’t worry.
  • Bring water for your pup (and yourself) —some locations lack fountains outside dog-specific areas.
